Nipple Surgery

Inverted nipples

Inverted nipples are nipples that are retracted into the breasts instead of pointing outward. In less severe cases, the nipple can be temporarily protruded if stimulated or manipulated. But in more severe cases, the inversion remains regardless of stimulus or manipulation.

Surgical correction depends on the severity of the problem. In severe cases, the milk ducts are more likely to be disrupted during the procedure. However, in such cases the patient would already have difficulty breastfeeding in the first place.

Nipple reduction

Over-sized nipple is not an uncommon complaint among women, especially after breast-feeding. Nipple reduction is a simple procedure that can be performed under local anaesthesia or combined with breast augmentation surgery. By reducing both the height and diameter of the nipple, this procedure can achieve a more youthful looking nipple with inconspicuous scars.

Recovery Time: 1 week
